Last week it was announced that Graeme Lowdon will become Team Principle for Formula 1’s 11th team, Cadillac F1, which will enter F1 in 2026.
In 2015, when Lowden headed up the Manor Marussia F1 team, Mark Jenkins and I interviewed him during our research for the third edition of “Performance at the Limit, Business Lessons from Formula 1” at the Belgian Grand Prix.
Experienced, knowledgeable and personable he was operating in a difficult situation with limited financial or technical support. Here’s hoping that he can use the substantial resources that General Motors and its partners can provide to get the new team off to a flying start.
And congratulations to McLaren for winning the Constructors Championship at the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix this past weekend, the final race of the season.
